Gary Alexander has revealed he was sacked as manager of Ashford United last night - by text message.
Ashford recorded a third straight win on Saturday when they beat Herne Bay 4-1 at Homelands.
But it turned out to be Alexander's last match in charge of the Bostik South East club.
Assistant manager John Mackie and physiotherapist Huseyin Torgut have also been sacked.
Alexander joined Ashford midway through last season as Jason Whitmore's assistant.
The Nuts & Bolts finished 21st and Alexander took over as manager in the summer with the aim of building a side to compete much higher up the table.
But in recent weeks he was unable to fill the substitutes bench and suggested the club were not giving him enough financial backing.
Alexander leaves with Ashford just two places outside the play-off places.
United chairman Derek Pestridge said: “This decision has been made in the best interests of the club.
"We would like to thank Gary, John and Hus for their efforts this season.
"The club now invites any interested applicants to get in touch.
"We will be making no further comment until we reach a decision on Gary’s replacement."
