Officers were at the scene within four minutes and two minutes later they arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of indecent exposure.

He remains in custody at a south London police station while inquiries are ongoing.

In a letter sent to parents at Bursted Woods primary school, and seen by KentOnline, head teacher Helen Charman said: "I am aware that there has been some social media activity about this incident and I wanted to reassure you that there was no disruption caused to the school and the children are all safe and unaware."

A spokesman for the force said: "The Met is committed to tackling violence against women and girls in all its forms.

"No one should have to put up with unwanted attention or predatory, sexual or violent behaviour."
