Christopher Brownly-Otiede charged with murder after death of lorry driver in Belvedere

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a Ukrainian lorry driver who was stabbed in Bexley.

Emergency services were called to Belvedere station at around 10.10pm on September 18.

Vitali Skrypniak died at the scene having suffered a single stab wound to his chest.

The 45-year-old lived in Lviv Oblast in Ukraine with his wife and son.

He had arrived in the UK on Sunday August 15 to transport goods for a logistics company.

A statement from his family described his killing as "a great tragedy for our family" adding "my daughter has lost her husband and their son a father,"

Yesterday, Christopher Brownly-Otiede, 27, of Sorrell Close, SE28, was charged with his murder

He appeared at Bronmley Magistrates' Court today.
