An air ambulance has taken a person to hospital after a crash.

Shire Lane in Orpington has been closed in both directions since the accident which happened at 12.38pm.

Two ambulance crews, a medic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and members of the hazardous area response team were sent.

Police also attended to reports of an overturned car.

A man was treated at the scene and taken to hospital where he remains in critical condition.
