The 38-year-old was in the second week of his trial.

He was accused of murder following the death of 34-year-old Frankie Bulbrook in Chislehurst, which he denied.

But today he admitted manslaughter and violent disorder.

Police were called to Belmont Road, in July 2020 after reports of up to 10 men fighting in the street near the Gordon Arms pub.

Officers attended and found two men with stab injuries.

The men, aged 30 and 26, were taken to a south London hospital for treatment although their injuries were not life-threatening.

Just two minutes later officers were alerted to a collision involving a van and a pedestrian in nearby Slades Drive.

The pedestrian, Mr Bulbrook, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A date has not yet been set for his sentencing.
