Isthmian League round-up: Neil Smith's Cray Wanderers draw in Isthmian Premier but Margate, Folkestone Invicta and Herne Bay beaten

Kingstonian were ahead, away defender Josh Vincent also having come off injured early on, before Yusuff was dismissed in stoppage time after a coming together with ex-Margate man Michael Abnett in Folkestone’s 2-0 defeat.

Yusuff had scored three times on Tuesday as Neil Cugley’s Invicta, now 15th, beat struggling Corinthian-Casuals 4-0.

Margate were also beaten, themselves losing 2-0 at Lewes. They have signed centre-back Ethan Kaiser from Potters Bar, managed by Deal-born Sammy Moore, but he was an unused substitute in their defeat.

Neil Smith’s Cray Wanderers drew 1-1 with Enfield Town.

Dan Bassett got them level at Hayes Lane after the visitors had taken the lead, with Cray now seventh in the table, only behind fifth-placed Enfield on goal difference.

Herne Bay are third-bottom having lost 3-0 at home to Hastings.

Midfielder Che Krabbendam - a recent signing - made his first Bay start in front of a crowd of 561 at Winch’s Field. Meanwhile Jake Embery, the son of former Faversham joint-boss John Embery, has left the Lilywhites and came off the bench for Ben Smith’s side.

Sittingbourne lost 1-0 at home to Littlehampton on a frustrating afternoon.

Sevenoaks goalkeeper Tyler McCarthy was in fine form as they won 1-0 at Sheppey. A Karn Miller-Neave corner was headed into his own net by Sheppey’s Jefferson Aibangbee.

Faversham’s new boss Simon Austin lost his first league match in charge at Burgess Hill.

Defender Danny Rumbol got them level - with his second goal in as many league matches - soon after the Hillians had gone ahead.

But Burgess Hill were 3-1 up by half-time and added a fourth after the restart to win 4-1.

They had won 2-1 at Ramsgate in the Velocity Trophy in Austin’s first game on Wednesday but Town remain second-bottom in the table.
