Bodyshots Boxing Club dominate opponents for a clean sweep of wins at London Schoolboy finals

Bodyshots Boxing Club made the grade at the London Schoolboy finals.

The Bexley-based stable had five fighters on the bill in Feltham, west London, and despite going into some of the finals as underdogs, all five were victorious.

And by putting their more-fancied opponents in the shade, the clean sweep made it one of the 13-year-old club's best-ever days.

First up was Albert McCleary, who defeated Billy Cook (West Ham) in the 44kg cadet final with a score of 5-0.

In the 46kg cadet final, Ernie Wenham beat Travis Corcoran (Cricklewood) with a score of 4-1 to make it two wins from two.

The 100% record continued in the Class B 48kg bout, George Foy outclassing Johnny Harrison (West Ham) 5-0.

Tommy Dighton meant business against Adam Malik (Repton), winning with a second-round stoppage in the Class B 50kg final, so that left Billy Dighton under pressure to make it five wins from five.

Billy rose to the occasion against old rival and previous London champion Jamie Barratt (Hooks Powerday), winning 4-1 in the Class B 54kg final to give Bodyshots and their head coach Obi Coates a day they'll never forget.
