Police reopen A2 dual carriageway at Bridge heading coastbound following two-car crash

A man has been taken to hospital suffering minor injuries after his car was in collision with another vehicle on the A2 coastbound between the A28 at Wincheap and A2050 at Bridge.

Heavy traffic delays were reported following the incident, which happened at around 1.20pm. According to Police, the road had been fully re-opened by 3pm.

Kent Ambulance spokesman Rich Airey said an air ambulance and two ambulances were sent to the scene.

He confirmed a man and a woman needed to be checked over. The man had suffered back pain and minor head injuries and was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
