A POPULAR young bar worker has died suddenly from suspected heart problems.

Richard Halliday, known to his friends as Ric, died in his girlfriend's house on Thursday.

He worked at Casey's in Butchery Lane, Canterbury and was just 24.

A shrine has been set up outside the pub and a page on the website Facebook** has been dedicated in his honour.

Ric had been working at the pub since summer 2005. He came to Canterbury from Croydon and studied at the University College for the Creative Arts.

No date for the funeral has yet been set.
