Body found on Ashford to Canterbury railway line

The body of a man has been found on the Ashford to Canterbury railway line at Wye station.

A British Transport Police spokesman said officers were called to the scene at around 7.20am yesterday (Saturday).

The body was said by Kent Police to be that of a local man aged around 40 and was found on the tracks.

The death is being treated as unexplained while further investigations are made.
