Canterbury Rugby Club's title credentials will be fully tested when they entertain Gravesend at Merton Lane on Saturday.

The city club made it six wins out of six in National League 3 London & South East last weekend with a 48-21 win at Westcliff but head coach Andy Pratt (pictured) is under no illusions as to how difficult this weekend's derby game will will be.

He said: "I know some of the Gravesend players and coaches quite well and they will be well prepared.

"They have some good players, particularly up front and with it being a Kent derby, it will add that bit of interest.

"We only really had Westcombe Park as a derby game when we were in the division above, so to have Gravesend and Tonbridge Juddians to play is nice.

"There should be a big crowd and, of course, bragging rights are up for grabs."

Pratt was keeping his cards close to his chest in terms of team news for the visit of Gravesend, although new signing Paul Brown, a centre from Auckland side Waitemata, will have to wait until next weekend before joining up with the squad.
