The A2 has been shut in both directions following a crash.

It happened near the junction of Love Lane and the A2 in Faversham after a car being chased by officers was in a collision with another vehicle at around 12pm.

A road closure has been put in place from Brenley Corner while the incident is investigated and vehicles recovered

Police spokesman Vicki Foster said: "One man has been arrested and remains in police custody at this time. Injuries have been reported."

Drivers should expect slow traffic in the area.
