Delivery driver caught checking Facebook while driving in Broad Oak Road, Canterbury

A delivery driver has been caught looking at Facebook Messenger on his phone while driving.

The man was stopped by police in Broad Oak Road, Canterbury, at 9pm last night.

Police in Canterbury shared an image of the incident report sheet on Twitter this morning, revealing the man was driving a red Skoda Fabia.

Officers added the message: "This delivery driver was caught having a little browse through Facebook Messenger whilst driving.

"Clearly the driver was so distracted he didn't see PC Kipling following behind."

They added the driver was issued six penalty points and a £200 fine.
