Eight teenagers were victims of attempted robbery, robbery or assault in Canterbury earlier this month.

Police have released an e-fit image of a man they wish to speak with in connection with the offences that occurred in Nackington Road from 8.30am to 8.45am on Monday, July 11.

A 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy were punched in the face and one had his iPod stolen.

A 13-year-old was slapped on the head and had his glasses taken.

A 17-year-old had his headphones taken.

And it is believed the same man tried to steal from four other boys and used threatening behaviour, but was unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as being approximately 18 to 20 years old, of slim-build and around 6ft to 6ft 3in tall.

He was wearing a grey or green hooded top and grey tracksuit trousers, and had cropped blonde or fair hair.

Detective Constable Lynne Short, who is investigating the incidents, said: “As part of our ongoing investigation we have released a computer generated image because we are keen to trace this man, as he may be able to assist us with our enquiries.

“The incidents were unprovoked and in some cases were aggressive and caused harm.

"The man we wish to speak with in connection with the incidences may have been hanging around with two other young men, but they did not carry out the alleged offences.”

Anyone that may recognise this man, or who may have information about the incident, is asked to contact DC Lynne Short on 01227 868336.
