A teenager has been charged after a fatal collision caused the death of his girlfriend.
Officers have charged Mentesh Mouharrem, of London Road in Teynham, with causing death by careless driving.
Mouharrem, also known as Da Silva, will appear before Maidstone Magistrates Court on January 8, 2016.
His girlfriend, 18-year-old Emily Laker, was a front seat passenger in the car and died at the scene.
Mouharrem was seriously hurt and rushed to a London hospital, while a third teenager, who was in the back of the car, escaped with minor injuries.
He had collected Emily from the Tyler’s Kiln pub in Tyler Hill where she had been working on the night of August 30.
They are thought to have been heading into Canterbury.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, which left the road shut for eight hours as accident investigators inspected the scene.
