Trailer and 4x4 flip over on London-bound A2 between Bridge and Canterbury

A family had the terrifying ordeal of their car and trailer flipping over on a busy dual carriagway.

The 4x4 vehicle, pulling a double axle trailer, when out of control on the London-bound A2 between Bridge and Canterbury.

It happened just after 4pm today (Sunday) .

Mark Jones, Canterbury Fire Station watch manager, said: “The trailer ended up on its side but the vehicle tumbled and ended up back on its wheels.”

The occupants and been two parents and two teenage boys.

They were seen to by paramedics and were believed to be still unhurt except for the father, the driver, who had minor injuries.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called out at 4.08pm and three engines attended, from the Canterbury, Dover and Folkestone stations.
