Canterbury: firefighters tackle rubbish set ablaze in Long Meadow Way

Fire crews were called yesterday after a pile of rubbish was set alight in a disused garage.

The blaze in Long Meadow Way led to two fire engines being sent to the scene at 3.10pm.

Firefighters used a short extension ladder and high pressure hose reel to bring the flames under control.

They left the scene by 3.35.
