Canterbury rape suspects arrested after incident in Downs Road

Four teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of raping a woman in a house in Canterbury.

Detectives were called to Downs Road following reports the woman had been raped shortly before 2am.

The property, as well as surrounding homes, were taped off by police this morning.

The alleged victim is thought to have been in Station Road East before travelling by car to Downs Road.

Police do not believe she and the four suspects are known to each other.

The four arrested are an 18-year-old man from Canterbury, a 19-year-old man of no fixed address, and two 17-year-old boys, one with no fixed address and the other from Dover.

They remain in custody.

Detectives are now appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area to come forward.
