The eatery, which will be able to cater for 30 diners at a time, marked the occasion by offering free burritos and having a mariachi band play outside.

And the massive queue to claim the freebies stretched past almost seven shops this afternoon, reaching the former Poundworld.

Student Oscar Martinez, who was one of those in the line, said: "I’ll wait in the queue as long as it takes - I want my free burrito.”

The restaurant employs 20 members of staff and is the firm's second branch in the county, with it already having one at Bluewater.

“I found out about all this on Instagram this morning.

"The band is great, we’re really enjoying it.”
