Canterbury Subway loses cash in robbery

A man marched into a Subway last night and demanded money from staff.

The 6ft 3ins robber made threats to employees of the sandwich shop in Sturry Road, Canterbury, before fleeing with cash.

Police were called following the incident at about 8pm.

The suspect, who was wearing a black tracksuit, is a white man with a large build.

Anyone who witnessed the robbery or has information should call police on 01843 222289, quoting 28-1013, or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
