An investigation is underway after a senior east Kent NHS worker posted indiscreet comments about her job on a social networking website.

Caroline Davis, the assistant director of strategic partnerships for the Eastern and Coastal Kent Primary Care Trust, effectively admitted that she talks nonsense on behalf of the NHS for a living.

The trust has a budget of more than £1billion and serves 710,000 people living in Ashford, Canterbury, Dover, Shepway, Swale and Thanet.

Glynis Alexander, the trust deputy director of communications, said: “We are following an internal process with the individual concerned.

“We take our reputation very seriously and disapprove of anything which brings the NHS into disrepute.”

Miss Davis, who is in her 30s, is reported to earn in the region of £50,000.
