Faversham MP Hugh Robertson has more admirers than David Cameron according to a new website.

He is rated as the 176th most sexy MP in the country – one place above the Prime Minister.

The positions of all 650 MPs are listed on the website www.sexymp.co.uk on which users can go on and say which politicians they would be happy to sleep with.

Votes are then counted and the site shows a list with each one’s position.

Canterbury and Whitstable’s Julian Brazier fared worse than Mr Roberston, coming in at number 369, while Roger Gale, of North Thanet, came even lower at 461.

He says he is not bothered by the website’s results and rates the love of his wife as more valuable. “I saw the website because a friend forwarded it to me,” Mr Gale said.

“So far as I am aware I am still number one with Suzy – and my dog loves me as well.”

Mr Robertson, meanwhile, believes the website results may not paint a truly accurate picture of MPs’ relative attractiveness.

He said: “I suspect this all has to do with what photographs are used of the MPs.
“If it is anything like during the elections, it might be that there are an awful lot of pictures which are old and don’t look like the people in them.”

Mr Brazier, however, appears less than amused by the sexy MP site.

Asked this week whether he had any thoughts on it, he replied tersely: “Not really.”

Dover’s Charlie Elphicke, a former tax lawyer, comes top of Kent’s 17 Conservative MPs and 77th out of the whole country while Sir John Stanley of Tonbridge and Malling comes bottom in Kent and 605th out of the UK.

Outside Kent, David Miliband comes in at 35 – well above his brother and Labour leader Ed Miliband who is 93rd.

Chancellor George Osborne is in position 101, deputy PM Nick Clegg is 163 and ex-PM Gordon Brown is at 246.

The sexiest MP in the country as of Tuesday evening was Liverpool, Wavertree Labour MP Luciana Berger while Jim Shannon, the Democratic Unionist MP for Strangford, is bottom.
