Kent Air Ambulance lands in Whitstable

The air ambulance landed in Whitstable this morning after a young girl dislocated her leg at home.

Ambulance crews were called to an address in Speedwell Road at 9am when the child suffered the injuries after a fall.

The injuries were not life threatening but an air ambulance was called to help land crews.

The helicopter landed in the Estuary View business park, outside the Kentish Gazette offices, at 9.50am.

Ambulance spokesman Janine Compton said: "We were called at 9.03am after a child had fallen and suffered quite nasty leg injuries.

"She was conscious but due to the nature of the injuries it was felt an air ambulance should attend."

The girl was not taken to hospital when crews left the scene.
