Man suffers serious head injuries in Canterbury robbery

A man suffered serious head injuries in a robbery in Canterbury.

The 28-year-old was knocked unconscious after a night out. He woke to find his wallet, passport and mobile phone had been stolen.

The attack happened after the victim had been out drinking with friends in the city centre.

He walked from Stour Street to Castle Street at the end of the night, and then onto Wincheap in the direction of Heaton Road.

At some point during his journey he was knocked to the floor and had his possessions stolen, but he has no memory of the incident.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the robbery, which happened between 2.40am and 4am on Saturday, February 25.
