Police release suspect image after man threatened in Castle Street, Canterbury

A man has been threatened in the city centre.

The victim was in Castle Street, Canterbury, at about 8am, when he was approached by a man with an Irish accent.

He threatened the victim before running off into Beer Cart Lane, towards Stour Street.

The suspect is described as being about 5ft 9in, and was wearing a dark hat and a dark bomber jacket at the time of the incident, which happened on January 24.

Police have since reviewed CCTV from the area and have worked with the victim to produce an electronically-generated image of the suspect, which has now been released.

Officers want to speak to the man or hear from anyone who thinks they recognise him.
