Canterbury sex attack manhunt launched after ‘woman targeted on way home by two men’

A police manhunt is underway after two men reportedly sexually assaulted a young woman as she walked home after a night out.

The attack is said to have happened off Spring Lane in Canterbury, between 1.50am and 2.10am this morning.

She noticed two men following her in the Ivy Lane area, then continued towards St Martin’s Hill before entering Bab’s Hill, a field that runs adjacent to the road and Spring Lane.

The woman, aged in her 20s, was then reportedly assaulted in the field.

A police spokesman said: “One of the suspects is described as having brown hair and was wearing a grey jumper, black trousers and trainers.

“The other was wearing a black hooded top.”

Witnesses are being urged to come forward to help the investigation.
