Canterbury: Man's body discovered in field has not been identified

A man whose body was found in a field has still not been identified, police have confirmed.

The body was discovered by a resident on land close to Hollow Lane near the A2 crossover in Canterbury on the morning of Friday, February 3.

The death is being treated as non-suspicious but despite "lengthy inquiries" officers have still not been able to identify him.

The man is described as white and in his mid-50s to late-60s.

He had short white hair and a short white beard.

He was of a slim to skinny build and was between 5ft 5in and 5ft 6in.

Det Ins Tracy Anstis said: "We are keen for anyone within the community to help us identify the man and urge anyone who recognises his description to contact us."

Anyone with information is asked to phone Kent Police on 101 quoting reference number 03-0188.
