The Goods Shed burgled and two men due to appear in court later this month

Two men will appear in court later this month accused of burgling the renowned Goods Shed in Canterbury.

On Monday, June 1, police were called to the food hall in Station Road, near to Canterbury West Station, following reports of a burglary.

A door and window had been broken and cash had been stolen.

Officers attended and shortly after arrested two men in Orient Place.

Mark Parter, 37, of The Street, Boughton-under-Blean has been charged with burglary and attempted assault and has been remanded to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on June 22.

Jamie Turner, 38, of Larksfield Road, Faversham, was charged with burglary and bailed to appear at Channel Magistrates' Court on June 29.
