'Murder' victim Alexandru Constantinescu died after being stabbed in Dunkirk, near Canterbury

The victim of a suspected murder near Canterbury was stabbed in the chest, police have confirmed.

A post mortem examination carried out yesterday confirmed that Alexandru Constantinescu, 20, died after he was stabbed at the Brotherhood Wood caravan site in in Dunkirk on Sunday evening .

Mr Constantinescu was found with a serious chest injury at the travellers site in Gate Hill, just off the A2 shortly after 7pm.

Dumitru Palazu, 48, has been charged with murder and is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court tomorrow.

He was arrested on Monday, April 8, and remains in police custody after being charged yesterday.

Four other men were arrested on April 7 on suspicion of murder.

Two have were released without charge on Monday, while the other two have now been released pending further enquiries.

Friends have posted emotional tributes to Mr Constantinescu following his death on Sunday.
