A dream come true is how EastEnders actress Emma Barton describes being cast as Snow White in this year’s Marlowe Theatre panto.

The actress, who plays Honey in the BBC soap, is already something of a panto veteran.

But getting the lead in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, she says, is a dream come true.“I have wanted to play her since I was a child and I am just so excited about it,” she said.

She joined other cast members for a photocall at Brogdale Farm, Faversham.

She was joined by TV presenter and magician Stephen Mulhern who plays Muddles, another panto veteran who was a big hit in Aladdin in Canterbury last year.

The seven dwarfs include local actor Phil Holden, who lives near Wingham,

but without doubt the tallest cast member is the wicked witch, played by Valerie Cutko who is over 6ft - without heels.

Snow White’s saviour will be Richard Hurst who plays Prince Lorenzo.

But no pantomime at the Marlowe would be complete without local comic, Dave Lee who is back for his 13th consecutive year, this time as Nurse Nellie.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is at the Marlowe from November 29 to January 18. For show times and ticket prices call the box office on 01227 787787 or visit www.marlowetheatre.com
