Pictures: Panto stars help charity lights swtich-on

Panto stars brought a touch to fun to the lights switch-on at the Johnson family home in Thanington.

Comedian Dave Lee plus Emma Barton and Stephen Mulhern from the Marlowe show Snow White were at the house in St Nicholas Road for the ceremony on Saturday.

It is the seventh year that Diane and Derek Johnson and their daughter and son-in-law, Claire and Scott have organised the popular event.

The Christmas scene in the front garden will be illuminated every day between 5pm and 10pm throughout the festive season.

So far nearly £834 has been raised by the family but they hope to top £1,000 with the extra donations in a collecting box for the lights. All the money goes to support the Dave Lee Happy Holidays charity.

Mrs Johnson said: “We had a really good turnout and were thrilled that so many of the leading panto stars could come to our launch.”
