Motorists had to swerve to avoid hiting a man who was sititng in a deckchair in the middle of the road.

Thye were called to Sturry Road, Canterbury, at around 3.20pm on Wednesday.

A patrol arrived quickly on the scene and contacted a family member who took the man back to his home in London.
