Police and ambulances called to Canterbury home

A man has been taken to hospital this evening after amid concerns for his welfare.

Police, ambulance crews and Kent Air Ambulance were called to a home in Canterbury earlier today.

Kent Police spokesman Steve Knight said: "Kent Police was called at 5.35pm due to concern for the welfare of a man at a private residential premises in St Andrew's Close, Canterbury.

"Officers attended to assist SECAmb staff and the man has been taken to hospital with injuries to his shoulder.

"No offences have been reported at this stage and inquiries into the circumstances behind the incident are ongoing."
