Police want to speak to this woman after thieves swiped a bank card from an elderly couple and splashed £6,500 in just two days.

The debit card was stolen from the vulnerable pensioners in Herne Bay and used more than 20 times in Thanet shops.

Investigating officer PC Richard Lyall said: “In the course of two days about £6,500 was spent on the card, mainly in stores at Westwood Cross, Westgate-on-Sea, Cliftonville, Birchington and Ramsgate.

“The woman we would like to speak to is pictured on CCTV in the Comet store in Broadstairs. She is described as 25 to 35 years old, white, of medium build with straight dark hair past the shoulders. With her was another woman, in her 30s or 40s, who is described as having bruising to her face.”

The card was stolen at some point between July 21 and July 26.
