Three cannabis cultivations found in Old Park Avenue in Canterbury

Three cannabis cultivations worth an estimated £900,000 have been found in one street in Canterbury.

Officers attended Old Park Avenue on Friday morning due to concerns raised about suspicious behaviour.

At the scene, officers arrested Ardit Tershalla and a subsequent search of a property uncovered around 250 cannabis plants.

The 24 year-old, of Old Park Avenue in Canterbury, was later charged with one count of cultivating cannabis and one count of abstracting electricity.

He appeared at Canterbury Magistrates' Court yesterday and was remanded in custody to appear at court at a later date.

While officers were in the street, concerns were raised about two nearby properties.

Warrants were obtained and each house was found to contain around 500 plants.

Enquires remain ongoing.
