Emergency services at the scene of Thursday's six-car accident in Chestfield

An accident involving up to six vehicles caused tailbacks at Chestfield Road on Thursday lunchtime.

The pile up happened near the roundabout opposite McDonalds just after midday.

Police as well as two ambulances were sent to the scene.

Officers diverted traffic around debris left on the carriageway and were able to reopen the road just before 2pm.
