Driver clocks up 100mph in heavy rain with child in front seat on A2 at Canterbury

A motorist has been reported after being clocked at 100mph in heavy rain with a small child in the front seat.

The black Mercedes CLS AMG was stopped after officers followed the vehicle for almost a mile on the A2 London-bound at Canterbury at 4.55pm today.

Kent Police RPU tweeted: "No words really! Chap was late dropping his child off. It's better to be late than become a RTC statistic."
