Teenage boy injured in hit-and-run in Blean, Canterbury

A boy has been injured in a hit-and-run - while police are trying to trace the driver who fled the scene.

The teenage victim had been cycling along the A290 Blean Hill in Blean, near Canterbury, at about 7pm on Saturday when he was struck by a car.

Police attended along with paramedics, and the boy was taken to a local hospital.

A spokesman for the force said: "The vehicle involved was not at the scene when officers attended and enquiries are ongoing to locate the driver."

The boy's injuries are not believed to have been life-threatening.

The ambulance service has been approached for more information.
