Charlie Birch, from Canterbury, charged with assault and charity box theft at McDonald's

A teenager has been charged after a worker was attacked and a charity box stolen at a McDonald's.

Police were called to the fast food restaurant in Sturry Road, Canterbury at 2am this morning.

An arrest was made, and Charlie Birch, 19, of Tennyson Avenue, has since been charged with theft and common assault.

He has been bailed until Thursday, April 6, when he will appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court.
