Southeastern trains suspended from Ashford to Canterbury after railway fault

By Lydia Chantler-Hicks

Trains have been suspended between Ashford and Canterbury due to a fault with a railway track.

Because of a broken rail between Chilham and Chartham, trains cannot run from Ashford to Canterbury West, and will either be diverted via Dover, or cancelled.

Trains travelling in the opposite direction - from Canterbury to Ashford - are thought to still be running.
