Gazette appeals to readers to share memories of when they were in the paper

Later this year the Gazette celebrates a remarkable 300 years since the publication of its very first edition.

Since October 16, 1717 we at the Gazette have reported wars, covered 11 monarchs, countless elections and other major events that have shaped our community.

But the Gazette is really all about people.

There can’t be many who have not featured in our pages over the years – and to celebrate our milestone we want you share your memories of your small “moment of fame”.

You may still have the cutting in a scrapbook or shoebox. Well, now is the time to dust it down and tell us your story once again.

It may be something remarkable - maybe you featured on the front page.
Or it might have been a smaller event or story that put a smile on your face and those of your family and friends. Perhaps you met the Queen or the Pope even during John Paul II's famous visit in 1982.

Send in those memories to kentishgazette@thekmgroup.co.uk and mark Gazette scrapbook in the title, or let us know via @kentishgazette or our Facebook page.
