Woman cut free from car

A woman driver had to be cut free from the wreckage of her car after it collided with a telegraph pole at Street End on Tuesday morning.

The accident happened in Fawcett Hill at 10.45am. The road had to be closed while firefighters and paramedics freed the woman from the French-registered Peugeot.

She was flown to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford by the Kent Air Ambulance but her injuries were said to be not life-threatening.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident and the road was re-opened at 11.38am.

The busy Stone Street has reopened after a crash this morning at Lower Hardres.

Firefighters had to cut a woman from a car near the Granville pub.

No other vehicle was involved in the accident, which happened at 10.49am.

The Kent Air Ambulance was called but it is not known if it was needed.
