Three Canterbury players have been named in a squad of 17 for two tests against Germany in Hamburg at the beginning of next month. Tash Brennan, Nat Seymour and Susie Townsend have been given the chance to impress in games that according to Head Coach Danny Kerry “present an excellent opportunity to expose a number of players to senior international hockey of a very high level.

“Members of the 2008 Olympic squad (including Mel Clewlow) have been allowed a period of recovery, and we will be looking hard at who, in this group, takes the opportunity to push for consideration.”
