Garrett has featured in all formats for Warwickshire, taking 2-36 at Taunton in their win over Somerset in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup in August.

“Since signing at Kent, I’ve been nothing but excited for what’s to come,” he said.

“A fresh start, at a top club, with good people. I look forward to contributing to results on the pitch and calling Canterbury my home.”

Kent director of cricket Simon Cook said: “We’re extremely pleased to bring George in for 2024 and beyond.

“He’s an exciting young bowler that has taken wickets in all three formats and will, hopefully, continue to improve his skill-set as a Kent cricketer.”

Garrett played for Kent 2nds against Middlesex and Gloucestershire in July.
