Whitstable Gold - finished third in the Under-15 League

Jake Justice has become the first junior to make a century in the history of the Canterbury Pharon Under-15s’ Indoor Cricket League.

Jake, 14, at the crease from the fourth ball of Old Hartsdonians’ innings against Whitstable Green, was still there at the end of the 12 overs with 105 out of a total of 157.

Justice, who goes to Dane Court Grammar School, Broadstairs, struck two sixes, a five, seven fours, 17 threes and nine singles and was acclaimed for his feat when the club dinner was held that evening.

Nevertheless, although collecting more runs (946 in seven matches) than any other team, Old Hartsdonians were to finish in mid-table.

The title was won by Broadstairs.
