A GoFundMe page has been set up in memory of the 18-year-old, which has raised more than £2,200.

It was set up by Naomi Ojo, who wrote: "On Thursday, a son, brother and friend fell victim to a brutal stabbing.

"Clinton Evbota was a pure hearted person and has never been involved in any knife crime and has never hurt anyone. This attack was senseless and now we have lost someone we truly love and care for.

"We ask that you donate what you can, to help us raise money for his mother and family.

"The money will cover the cost of a funeral and whatever else the family may need.

"Clinton was the kindest boy..." - Susi Sassi

"Thank you all so much, may God bless you."

Clinton's death came just hours after 15-year-old Baptista Adjei was stabbed to death outside a shopping centre in Stratford.

Olivia Digba commented: "I never imagined that someone I saw a couple of months ago would now be gone like that.

"My condolences to his family and I pray that God will help them through this heartbreaking time."

While Susi Sassi added: "Clinton was the kindest boy ever, keep smiling."

Dartford MP Gareth Johnson described the circumstances surrounding Clinton's death as "truly appaling".

He said: "The death of this young man from Dartford is yet another tragic loss of life to knife crime. The circumstances surrounding his death are truly appalling. I have spoken in depth with the Met Police about their investigation and as you might expect, they are dealing with this in a very professional and determined way.

"Through the police, I have offered Clinton’s family any support my office can offer. I have also met with Harriet Harman, in whose constituency this murder took place and she is offering similar support.

"We have seen far too many young lives brought to a tragic end as a result of knife crime. There is no simple solution to this problem but we need more police with the powers to disrupt the carrying of knives and a change in the culture that sees the carrying of knives as somehow being okay, it is not."

Met Police were called at around 8.20pm and "found an 18-year-old man suffering stab injuries".

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9.14pm - no arrests have been made an inquiries are ongoing.
