A hospital has seen its 90,000th baby born since it opened 22 years ago.
Baby Archie was delivered at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford, on September 17.
The hospital said: “Huge congratulations to new parents Megan Williams and David Fell on the birth of the adorable and very handsome Archie.
“Midwife Jane Hardinges assisted with welcoming him. He was born at 5.03am, weighing in at a respectable 7Ib 7oz.
“We would like to wish the new little family the very best of luck and how wonderful that little Archie is a record breaker at Darent Valley Hospital.”
Mother Megan, 27, said: “I was quite shocked really, I was really emotional. It was lovely.
“It’s all going good so far and Archie is doing really well. It was, overall, a really good experience.”
Archie is her and her 35-year-old partner’s first child together, and she said hospital staff were great.
The family live in Bexleyheath.
The trust’s director of midwifery and gynaecology Michele Ahluwalia said: “The maternity team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust has delivered maternity services since September 2000.
“In subsequent years, services were extended to include defined areas in the London Borough of Bexley.
“We are proud and feel privileged to announce that since opening our maternity unit in 2000, we have supported women to give birth to over 90,000 babies.
“What is even more amazing is that we are also now supporting an increasing number of the people, born at the hospital, to give birth to their babies.
“We would like to congratulate the family and wish them all the best for the future.”
