Police investigate burglary in Princes View, Dartford

A man broke into a home, and then made his getaway on a push-bike.

The victim, a man in his 50s, returned to his home in Princes View, Dartford, to see a man standing inside his open porch door.

The offender tried to leave on a bicycle but was challenged by the victim and a neighbour who tried to apprehend him.

However, he managed to reach his bicycle and ride away. Nothing has been reported missing.

The suspect is described as white, around 5ft 10ins, in his late 30s or early 40s, with a gaunt complexion, blonde hair in a ponytail and a beard.

He was wearing a camouflage hooded top, dark trousers and was riding a black mountain bike.

Anyone who recognises the man in the image, or has any information about the incident which happened at around 2.05am on June 17, is asked to call police on 01474 366149 quoting XY/29017/17.
