Charlton Athletic slipped off the top of League 1 but maintained their unbeaten record despite letting a 2-0 lead slip against Scunthorpe at the Valley on Saturday.

Chris Powell's named an unchanged side for the fourth game running against the previously winless Iron, including keeper Rob Elliot - who kept his place despite speculation surrounding a bid from Newcastle.

Skipper Johhnie Jackson opened the scoring with a header on 20 minutes, looping his effort off the underside of the bar after a flick from Bradley Wright-Phillips (pictured).

The Addicks looked set to make it four wins from four when Wright-Phillips made it three games in a week shortly before the hour mark when he nodded home Danny Hollands' fine cross.

However the visitors set up a nervy finale when Bobby Grant found the net 17 minutes from time, poking past Elliot after a scramble, and despite Jackson going close to a third on 88 minutes, it was Grant who snatched a point a minute into stoppage time, netting from inside the six-yard-box after a cross was knocked down.
