Fly-tipping prompts week-long closure of Gills Road in Darenth

A country road has been forced to close after it was blocked by fly-tipping.

An investigation has been launched after planks of wood covered in nails were dumped in the middle of Gills Road in Darenth.

The road will be shut for up to seven days between Wilson Lane and Green Street Green Road while it is cleared.

Kent County Council says investigation works are also taking place.
